Driving Range Update

For the past few months we have been diligently working towards preserving the open-space zoning of the Lakeridge Golf Course driving range. Below is a letter that was submitted to the City of Reno by Toll Brothers’ attorney on June 29th, 2021. On one hand, Toll Brothers is withdrawing their request to amend the master plan which would allow them to build at the driving range; on the other hand, Toll Brothers is also stating the fact that they are reserving the right to resubmit the same, a similar, or different application.

For now, this is a win for our community, but the question now is what’s next? Save Our Reno will remain vigilant because we know that this is not the end. The will was there at some point to create this project in the first place and without knowing why they withdrew their application we can’t know their future intentions for the area.
